KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 19 — A Belgian man died while participating in the International Hash Challenge in Selangor yesterday, according to the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department.
Thomas Jean Francois, 34, did not complete the race that began at 7am at Ladang Rasa and ended at Lembah Beringin at 7.30pm, the department’s assistant director (operations) Mohd Sani Harul said today.
He said Francois’ body was found at 9.55am today at a slope of Bukit Tarik near Kampung Orang Asli Kerling, Kuala Kubu Baru.
The search for Francois had resumed at 8am today after it was called off at 7.30pm yesterday due to failing light, he said.
Francois’ body was sent to Kuala Kubu Baru Hospital.
Mohd Sani said 88 people — 68 men and 20 women — took part in the race. — Bernama
