SHAH ALAM, Oct 15 — Police are tracking down a gang leader to assist in the investigation in the case concerning two contracters who were attacked and slashed in the Pandamaran area, Pulau Indah, Port Klang earlier this month.

Selangor CID chief Datuk Mohd Adnan Abdullah said the suspect known as Lim Poh Seong or Ah Bao, 39, whose address is in Pandamaran, is believed to be the leader of the ‘Ang Su Tong’ gang.

He said that in the incident at about 4.30 pm on Sept 4, the two contractors, who are siblings, suffered severe injuries after being slashed by four unidentified men using machetes and samurai swords.

“The right wrist of a 55-year-old victim was almost severed besides suffering injuries on the feet and body while another victim, 49, was injured in the hand.

“The motive for the incident is believed to be because both victims, who had recently been awarded projects for landscaping works in an area in Pulau Indah, had refused to pay protection money to the group,” he said at a media conference.

Mohd Adnan said police had so far detained 12 suspects, including a woman, to assist in the investigation under Section 326 of the Penal Code for causing severe injuries using weapons.

He urged members of the public with information on the wanted suspect to contact the investigating officer, ASP Mohd Sukri Ayob at telephone number 012-5586363 or call the nearest police station.

Mohd Adnan said, meanwhile, the police were also tracking down three suspects to assist in the case of the shooting of a man at Bandar Baharu Klang near here on Aug 21.

He said the three wanted men were Lim Hock Seong, 28, from Taman Meru Selatan, Klang; Oh Cheok Seng @ Ah Lu, 51, from Jalan Batu Belah, Klang and Loke Kok Chew, 53, from Jalan Tiong Off Jalan Meru, Klang.

“In the incident, the 45-year-old victim was shot twice on the left thigh and abdomen and died after 17 days of receiving treatment at the Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang. The motive for the incident is believed to be revenge,” he said, adding that the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Anyone with information on the three men could call investigating officer ASP Chua Hang Loun at telephone number 019-3193193 or contact the nearest police station. — Bernama
