KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 30 — Malaysia’s position as a key player in the global and ASEAN automotive supply chain has been significantly reinforced following the record-breaking success of the MIAPEX 2025 and AICOVE 2025 expos held in Selangor last week.

The twin events, which ran from October 24 to 26, attracted an unprecedented level of participation from international exhibitors and buyers across six continents, underscoring the nation's growing competitiveness in automotive exports.

This year's expos featured over 350 exhibitors from countries including Malaysia, Japan, China, India, Taiwan, Singapore, and Germany.

Now in its fifth edition, MIAPEX 2025 (Malaysia International Automotive & Parts Expo) showcased cutting-edge innovations in automotive components, accessories, and workshop tools.

It ran concurrently with AICOVE 2025 (Asean International Commercial Vehicle & E-Mobility Expo), which focused on heavy vehicle parts and the rapidly expanding e-mobility sector.

The strong international presence, with buyers attending from the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas, highlighted Malaysia’s expanding global trade reach.

The expos received official endorsement from the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and support from the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), signalling robust government backing for the sector's export ambitions.

“The success of MIAPEX and AICOVE 2025 reflects the unity and strength of Malaysia’s automotive industry,” said organising chairperson Jet Ong in a statement.

“We are proud to have created a platform where ideas, trade, and innovation come together — driving our local champions toward global recognition.”

Ong added that future editions will aim to further solidify Malaysia’s standing as Asean’s leading automotive trade and innovation hub.
