LOS ANGELES, Sept 6 — BuzzFeed shares two simple appetisers that you can make for your friends and family: baked potato chips and an onion lotus.
Both appetisers require an oven, but minimal preparation, so you can just pop these into the oven and move on to other dishes.
The baked potato chips uses a whole potato, sliced to just about a quarter of an inch from the bottom.
A drizzle of butter, oil, salt and pepper, and then you can simply pop it into the oven at 425° F (about 218° Celsius) for an hour.
For the onion lotus, use a large red onion and cut it into 1/8ths according to the video, but not all the way through, so the onion still holds together as one piece.
Drizzle with oil and balsamic vinegar, add a pinch of salt and pepper, cover the baking dish with foil, then bake it in the oven at 425° F (about 218° Celsius) for about 25 to 30 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake it for another 10 minutes, and voila!
