LOS ANGELES, July 4 — American actor Skip Homeier, a child star who went on to play roles in 1950s films such as The Gunfighter, Halls of Montezuma and Cry Vengeance, has died at the age of 86.
According to Facebook posts by his son, Michael, and wife, Della, Homeier died on June 25.
A native of Chicago, George Vincent Homeier portrayed violent or neurotic characters early in his career, and was dubbed Skippy Homeier when he made his onscreen debut as a Nazi teen who arrives in Middle America in Tomorrow, the World!, starring Fredric March.
He went on to star in scores of Westerns, war films and TV shows he starred in, and is also remembered for his role as a two-time guest star on Star Trek: The Original Series (via The Hollywood Reporter). — AFP-Relaxnews
