KUALA LUMPUR, June 25 — Bandoru Store, the pre-loved clothing and accessories boutique in Shah Alam, aims to increase its sales to RM2.4 million this year.

Its Founder, Mohd Wafi Mohd Shaari, said the boutique, which sells pre-loved items imported from Japan, would be able to achieve the target, based on the feedback from their customers.

“Our customers said they are very satisfied with the unique concept, quality and facilities offered by the boutique, and many even thought that Bandoru Store is a boutique which sells brand new items,” he told Bernama in a recent interview.

Mohd Wafi said the sales target was in line with his plan to open four new branches, to be located in Johor, Kedah, Sabah and Kuala Lumpur.

He said there were also plans to penetrate the global market, due to the popularity of pre-loved and used items from Japan.

“However, we need to ensure that our branding is strong so that it would be easier for the pre-loved items business concept to be accepted and trusted by the masses,” he said, adding that the store’s marketing team would always have to be on top of the latest fashion trend.

The Bandoru Store, which started operations end-2016, had increased its marketing efforts in time for the festive season through social media applications such as Facebook and Instagram.

“We use social media to interact with our customers and potential clients, and we have chosen to employ integrated marketing methods for our business,” said Mohd Wafi, who hailed from Perak.

He said Bandoru Store was the result of the intention to revolutionise the pre-loved items industry by giving it a new look and feel, differentiating it from the other pre-loved item stores in the country.

Although he had his initial doubts, he became more confident after seeing that there were many fans of pre-loved items.

“We have our own source for good quality supplies from Japan, and we have also introduced several types of sales promotions for the festive season,” he said. — Bernama
