KUALA LUMPUR, May 2 — Mobile loyalty and rewards platform, Fave (previously known as Groupon), is partnering with Tune Hotels to offer Malaysians a flat rate on May 9.
Fave co-founder Yeoh Chen Chow said that the cost of travelling to their respective hometowns is a key concern for many voters, and that is why this offer came about.
“We partnered with Tune Hotels as they have a strong presence across the country and they also share the same values with us in helping Malaysians to vote with a peace of mind,” he said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Tune Hotels group chief executive officer Mark Lankester added that the upcoming election is set to see millions of Malaysians return from overseas and travel across the country to exercise their right to vote.
“We are pleased to partner with Fave in helping to get the word out on this and reaching as many Malaysians as possible about this offer,” said Lankester.
The participating hotels include Tune Hotels in Kuala Lumpur, PWTC, 1 Borneo Kota Kinabalu, George Town Penang, Danga Bay Johor, Waterfront Kuching Sarawak, Kota Bahru Kelantan, Kulim Kedah, KLIA2, Taiping Perak, Cyberjaya, and KLIA Aeropolis.
The rates for the hotels represent a discount of up to 30 per cent and Fave will be the exclusive platform for Malaysians to purchase and redeem the offer.
Malaysians can visit Fave’s website to purchase the deal and choose their preferred hotel location. The flat rate will be applicable from May 1 to May 9 for stays until May 13, 2018.
