TAIPING, July 25 — A couple was charged in the Magistrate’s Court here today with the murder of a housewife.
P. Murugan, 34, and P. Kagatree, 30, allegedly killed Ng Poh Tim, 49, at a house in Taman Kota Jaya, Simpang Taiping here around 4pm on June 27 this year.
No plea was taken from the two accused who are charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code which carries the death sentence upon conviction.
Magistrate Mohamed Ruhizat Abdullah did not set bail and fixed September 21 for re-mention. — Bernama
