PORT DICKSON, May 18 — The body of a 20-year-old youth, who drowned while swimming with his friend at Pantai Batu 1 here yesterday, was found at 11.15am this morning.
State Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said the body of Muhammad Shazwan Abdullah was recovered by a search and rescue team at the bottom of the sea, not far from where he went missing.
“The victim was reported missing at 2.45pm yesterday. A search and rescue operation was mounted immediately but had to be halted at 7pm. It was resumed at 9am today,” he said when contacted.
Muhammad Shazwan, a member of the 4B Youth organisation in Kampung Kepis Hilir, Kuala Pilah, had come here with his friends for the 2014 Negeri Sembilan Youth Festival. — Bernama
