MEXICO CITY, May 5 — A bespoke travel experience is being launched in which tequila and spirits connoisseurs can fly to the Tequilla Avion distillery in Jalisco, Mexico for a half a million US dollars (RM1.8 million) for a private tasting, distillery tour and intimate dinner at the home of the company's Master Distiller, Alejandro Lopez.
Tequila Avion won the prize for the “World's Best Tasting Tequila” at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Clients will travel to Jalisco and back in a private Gulfstream jet big enough for 10 and receive a private butler and security detail to assist them during their stay.
In addition, a professional photographer will follow clients to document their three-day, two-night stay during which they will sleep at the famed Las Alamandas hotel.
Clients will be given the chance to craft their own, unique Anejo varietal — working with Ken and Alejandro — to choose and harvest an agave plant and select a barrel to age their liquid for two and a half years.
Just one trip will be put up for sale today, Cinco de Mayo. — AFP-relaxnews
