LOS ANGELES, Nov 25 — 'Star Trek Beyond', the third instalment of the rebooted sci-fi franchise, will be getting a full world-wide IMAX release.

Director Justin Lin, the first man other than J.J. Abrams to helm a film in the rejuvenated series, has confirmed that “Star Trek Beyond” is being digitally re-mastered into the IMAX format in time for a global release on July 22, 2016.

As well as a new director, the film has a new writing team in Doug Jung (“Confidence”) and Simon Pegg, who along with co-scripting will also be reprising his role as ‘Scotty’. — AFP-Relaxnews
