KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 5 — Malaysian songstress Datuk Siti Nurhaliza has sung in various languages throughout her music career, having previously recorded in multiple languages, including Bahasa Malaysia, Basa Jawa, English, Mandarin, Arabic, Hindi and Japanese.
Now, she can add the Tamil language into her impressive musical portfolio as she is currently recording a song composed by renowned music producer AR Rahman.
The 36-year-old singer posted several videos on her Instagram where she can be seen recording and rehearsing the song “Nenje Ezhu” from the film “Maryan”.
Siti is recording the song for Astro’s first ever international Indian singing competition, “International Superstar 2015”, which will start from August 8, 2015 onwards, featuring contestants from five countries: Malaysia, Singapore, Mauritius, Canada and India.
This singing competition will be aired every Saturday on Astro Vinmeen HD Channel 231, at 8.30pm. — TheHive.Asia
