LOS ANGELES, Aug 5 ― Singer and actress Selena Gomez was in a minor car accident over the weekend, and has blamed the overly aggressive paparazzi who were pursuing her. Selena was leaving a convenience store in LA when she backed her black SUV into a smaller silver SUV. No one was hurt and the police were not called.
Gomez had just finished lunch with some girl friends, and her friend can be seen to be quite upset in surveillance footage of the incident. Selena, however, calmly accepted the other driver's details and offered the people in the other car a day at a luxurious spa to apologise.
The “Come and Get It” singer has also been dealing with the latest in a long string of break-ups with her on-again-off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber. After the accident she posted a message to Twitter, lamenting that only she could “get into an accident because of men with cameras” and then offer the other couple a spa day.
