KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 15 — PAS Youth chief Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz said he welcomed the idea to make a film about his late father and the party’s former spiritual adviser Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat.

“We welcome anyone and any effort to highlight my late father in any way,” he was quoted as saying by Malay language daily Sinar Harian in a report today.

“We only hope that when it is brought (to the silver screen), it will be based on history, so first of all the facts must be correct, do not make a film that exaggerates things that the future generations form their understanding of Tuan Guru based on false facts,” he reportedly added, using the respectful title by which Nik Aziz was popularly called.

Renowned local film director Aziz M Osman was recently reported to have expressed interest to make a film about the late PAS personality who had served as the party’s spiritual leader.
