KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 24 — If you’re in town for the 47th Asean Summit, you’re in luck — the Klang Valley is alive with events you won’t want to miss.

From a massive park festival to bustling marketplaces and concerts — both free and ticketed — featuring top local and international acts, here’s your guide to what’s happening from now until October 26, and how to get there.

KL Park Festival 2025

This biennial celebration of nature and city living, organised by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), aims to inspire urban communities through creative garden showcases and interactive experiences.

The KL Park Festival 2025 is happening at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa from October 17 to 26, open daily from 9am to 11pm.

Among its many green attractions is Mystical Titiwangsa — Malaysia’s first immersive trending plant showcase — inviting visitors on a sensory journey through lush displays and local folklore.

There’s also the Asean Sculpture Gardens exhibition, featuring artists and designers from across Asean who channel their national identities into stunning art installations and sculptures.

And of course, no festival is complete without food. Coinciding with the 47th Asean Summit, the KL Park Festival 2025 hosts a special Asean Halal Food Fiesta serving unique dishes from all 10 Asean nations.

With several major road closures in effect, the easiest way to get there is via the Putrajaya MRT Line — stop at Hospital Kuala Lumpur Station (PY18). The park is just a 10-minute walk away.

RIUH x Asean 2025

Get ready for South-east Asia’s biggest creative showcase. RIUH x Asean 2025 brings a mix of culture, design, music and comedy to multiple venues across Kuala Lumpur.

The main event — the RIUH x Asean Marketplace — takes over Stadium Merdeka from October 24 to 26, running from 11am to 11pm daily.

Expect 150 brands and more than 30 ‘live’ performances featuring some of Malaysia’s best acts.

The line-up includes Estranged and Aina Abdul (October 24), Joe Flizzow, Alyph and Abang Sapau (October 25), and legends Butterfingers and Parade Hujan closing things out on October 26.

Meanwhile, over at GMBB Mall in Bukit Bintang, there’s Rumah Sora — a celebration of musical poetry on October 23 and 31 — and Panggung Gelak Festival, a laugh fest featuring Malaysia’s top stand-up comics.

This weekend’s Panggung Gelak shows include Big Riuh Energy (October 25) with Kavin Jay, Papi Zak and more (tickets RM20), and Stand Up Sis! (October 26), an all-female show featuring Shamaine Othman, Joanne Kam, Shaq Munisamy and others.

To get to Stadium Merdeka, hop on the Monorail to Maharajalela Station (a three-minute walk) or take the MRT to Merdeka Station (about a 15-minute walk).

TWICE World Tour 2025

Fresh off their Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2025 appearance last week, K-pop powerhouse TWICE is bringing their World Tour 2025 to Kuala Lumpur on October 25 at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil.

A quick check on GoLive Asia shows a few seats still available (at the time of writing) — Category 2 Standing (RM888) and VIP Standing (RM1,288) — though they’re going fast.

GoLive Asia also revealed official TWICE merchandise will go on sale that day, with VIP Early Access from 9am to 11am and general sales from 11am onwards.

To get there, take the Sri Petaling LRT Line and hop off at Bukit Jalil Station. The stadium is just a 10-minute walk away.

Jackson Wang Magicman 2 World Tour

Joining TWICE in lighting up Bukit Jalil this weekend is Hong Kong rapper and singer Jackson Wang, who brings his Magicman 2 World Tour to the Axiata Arena on October 25.

This marks his first concert in Kuala Lumpur since 2023, and like TWICE, a few tickets are still available in several categories, including Magic 2 VIP Standing (RM1,288), PS1 Standing and Seated (RM998), and PS2 Seated (RM798).

Organiser IME Malaysia has announced that the official Magicman 2 merchandise booth will be open from 11am to 8.30pm near the Axiata Arena’s main entrance.

For those driving, paid parking is available around the venue — but with two major solo concerts happening nearby at the same time, taking the LRT is highly recommended.

The GrimRoom Spooky Market is free entry, while the gig is ticketed at RM88.

Also happening that day is a free gallery talk, Illustration and Expectation: Situating Creativity, featuring local illustrators such as Jayee Lim (Monkiddo), Sara and Nicky (Grimmy Granny), and Chin Yun Fei (Tali Art Gallery).
