KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 6 — Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus today witnessed a handover of duties ceremony involving six senior positions within the Kuala Lumpur police contingent at the Kuala Lumpur police contingent ceadquarters.
The posts involved were the heads of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID), Dang Wangi and Sentul district police chiefs, as well as the Special Branch deputy chief (Intelligence and Operations) and CID deputy chief (Intelligence/Operations).
SAC Zulkarnain Samsudin handed over his duties as CID head to SAC Sazlee Adam, while SAC Haslah Bachok handed over the NCID head post to ACP Kee Hang Kee.
Supt Nuzulan Mohd Din took over as Dang Wangi district police chief from SAC Sazlee Adam, while Supt Jasni Zolpa assumed the post of Sentul district police chief from SAC Basri Sagoni.
The ceremony also saw SAC Kamaruzaman Md Alib handing over duties as Special Branch deputy chief (Intelligence and Operations) to ACP Saefuddin @ Mohd Fitri Abdul Rahman, while SAC Zulkarnain Samsudin handed over duties as CID deputy chief (Intelligence/Operations) to Supt Ong Seng Keong.
The ceremony was also attended by Kuala Lumpur deputy police chief Datuk Mohd Azani Omar.
In his speech, Fadil said promotions were not just a recognition of an officer’s performance and dedication, but also reflected greater trust and responsibility that must be upheld with integrity, professionalism and sincerity.
He said the handover of duties symbolised leadership continuity within the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), while changes in appointments were an important process to ensure the organisation continued to progress through new ideas, experiences and approaches without affecting service delivery to the public.
“In facing increasingly complex security challenges, I call on all Kuala Lumpur police personnel to continue strengthening their commitment towards combating crime, tackling drug abuse, improving investigation capabilities, enhancing operational readiness and building stronger ties with the community,” he said. — Bernama
