NEW YORK, Aug 28 — Business is booming for OnlyFans! The platform continues to attract new creators and consumers. So much so that spending in 2022 reached almost US$5.6 billion (RM26 billion).

It’s no secret that sex sells. And the OnlyFans platform is no exception to the rule. Known for offering sultry content from its numerous creators for a fee, the social network generated US$5.55 billion during 2022, we’ve learned. A substantial sum, reflecting a 16 per cent increase on the previous year. And while users freely opened their wallets, creators also profited from this boom, pocketing almost US$4.5 billion.

The number of creators also rose by 47 per cent to 3.2 million, while new users also signed up in droves, with a 27 per cent increase to 239 million members. “Group revenues increased by more than US$158 million over the reporting period, from US$932 million in 2021 to US$1.09 million in 2022,” the report indicates.

According to a report published by Fenix International Ltd, OnlyFans made a profit of US$403.7 million in 2022, an increase of 24 per cent on the previous year. The businessman and owner of subscription site OnlyFans, Leonid Radvinsky, meanwhile, earned US$338 million in dividends for the year, Bloomberg noted.

The OnlyFans platform pays 80 per cent of its creators according to the income generated by subscriptions. — ETX Studio
