GEORGE TOWN, Nov 29 — A new outlet mall in Penang called Design Village is now open at Bandar Cassia, Batu Kawan, featuring a broad variety of regional and international fashion brands at discounted prices.

Touted as the largest outlet mall in Malaysia, the newly opened mall spans 400,000 square feet at a 24-acre tropical garden, housing over 150 stores from a diverse selection of brands.

“Design Village will be a major tourism magnet for the state and also act as the catalyst to stimulate economic activity at Bandar Cassia in Batu Kawan,” said PE Land (Penang) managing director James Ling to New Straits Times.

The mall was built in the duration of two years and is almost 70 per cent filled with tenants.
