NASHVILLE, Aug 23 — A lonely dog, a duck that came out of nowhere; if this sounds like a Disney tale, it isn't. Jacquie Litton was happy her depressed dog George found a new but rather unlikely feathered friend.
Litton said that George had been depressed for awhile after his dog companion Blackie passed on.
That was until a duck came out of nowhere and started following George around. George seemed to welcome the companionship, allowing the duck to snuggle with him and even letting the duck use his dog bed.
Litton, who named the duck "Donald" after the Republican presidential candidate calls her new pet a "Lucky Duck" as she says she will take the best of care of him "hoping that he stays around".
Sometimes real life really is stranger, and sweeter, than fiction.
