JUNE 24 — The Advisory Board of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission wishes to express its appreciation of the splendid work of the outgoing Chief Commissioner of MACC, Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed, during his long and devoted service. He has carried his heavy burden of office with great dignity.
He has transformed a largely moribund outfit into an effective corruption-fighting force that has gained public admiration and respect both at home, and in the international anti-corruption community.
Malaysia has been well-served by MACC under his capable stewardship.
The Advisory Board in expressing its sorrow at Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed’s departure as Chief Commissioner is comforted in the knowledge that his passion for, and commitment to, confronting corruption decisively and promoting integrity in government and business, will continue to make a positive impact as he continues to contribute and spread his knowledge and expertise in his new career.
On behalf of the Advisory Board, I wish the Chief Commissioner happiness and success in all his future undertakings.
