SAN FRANCISCO, Sept 1 — Ahead of a special presentation on September 7, at which the iPhone 7 is expected to be revealed, Apple has increased the upper limit on optional iCloud storage up to 2 terabytes.

A monthly plan priced at US$19.99 (RM81.59) covers the 2TB limit for file storage backups, while previous tiers for 50GB (US$0.99), 200GB (US$2.99) and 1TB (US$9.99) remain.

Following a previously established ratio linking iCloud storage and iPhone internal storage, the move accompanies the launch of a 256GB iPad Pro.

With the iPhone 7 assumed to emerge on September 7, speculation has intensified (per 9to5Mac and others) over the new handset’s potential to match that 256GB capacity. — AFP-Relaxnews
