MELBOURNE, Aug 16 — Meet Buddy, a dog collar that combines practicality with smart technology.

To start with, the collar uses LED technology to equip dogs with their own light when they go out at night, so they would be more visible to vehicles and people.

Worried about losing your pet? You can create a Geofence area for your dog, and Buddy will alert you if your dog leaves the area and tracks them via GPS.

The collar also utilises GPS and Bluetooth technology that keeps dogs safe while letting owners track and organise their pets daily activity.

Squeaker is the brainchild of founder Chris Forcucci, an avid cyclist, who formed the company after realising it was difficult to see dogs at night and wanted to find ways to make them safer after dark.

The Australian company, founded in May 2014, launched Poochlight and is now raising money on Kickstarter to finance Buddy in their aim to make the ultimate safety product for beloved pooches.
