KUALA LUMPUR, July 26 — Melaka United FC snatched a last minute victory to beat Kuantan FA 4-3 in a Premier League match last night at Makmur Stadium to reign at the top the table.
The two teams were tied at 3-3 before Tudose Alexandru slotted in the winning goal in the 89th minute.
Melaka United's three other goals were scored by Ilija Spasojevic in the 27th minute, Alexandru (35') and Yashir Pinto (46') while the hosts' goals were netted by Shazalee Ramlee in the first minute and 37the minute and Dao Bakary in the 30th minute.
However Johor Darul Ta'zim II remained in second spot with 31 points, after failing to collect any point on a 0-1 loss to Perlis from a solitary goal by Mohamadou Sumareh in the 57th minute.
PKNS FC and Negeri Sembilan played to a goalless draw at Shah Alam Stadium.
The results saw PKNS FC maintaining their third place with 30 points and Negeri Sembilan were in the fifth spot with 26 points.
At Proton Stadium in Tanjung Malim, DRB Hicom collected three points after defeating Kuala Lumpur 1-0 via a 38th minute penalty goal by Kim Jin Ryong.
Kim was awarded a penalty after he was brought down by Kuala Lumpur captain Ahmad Azlan Zainal.
Kuala Lumpur remained in fourth placing while DRB-Hicom were in the seventh spot.
The Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) which were earlier at the bottom of the table rose one rung after beating UiTM FC 3-1 at the Temerloh Municipal Council Stadium this evening.
ATM's goals were netted by Khasan Abdukarimov in the 40th minute and 65th minute while Muhd Faiz Ibrahim put in the third goal in the 83rd minute.
UiTM FC scored their only goal via Nik Syafiq Syazwan in the 31st minute.
At Selayang Stadium, ninth spot Sabah obtained three full points by beating Sime Darby FC 2-1 with goals from Maxsius Musa in the 75th minute and Leopold Alfonso (78').
Sime Darby which scored their only goal via Mateo Roskam in the 17th minute fell to the bottom of the league. — Bernama
