LOS ANGELES, Feb 27 — In a string of Instagram posts over the weekend, US singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor began a countdown to the release of a new single and video, due out Thursday.

Trainor revealed in a first post that No Excuses will get its worldwide release on Thursday, March 1 at 8am Eastern time.

In two additional posts, she appeared to share lyrics from the upcoming track: “I don't disrespect you, don't you disrespect me!” and “Have you lost your mind...open up your eyes.”

She likewise revealed that a video for No Excuses will drop on Thursday along with the track.

And finally, she shared a heartfelt, handwritten note detailing recent health issues and revealing that she's since come out on top and gotten to work on her third album — what she called “my favourite album that I've ever created.”

In a caption for the note, she wrote, “I love you all so much! Thank you for loving me, supporting me and helping me realize what's most important. There are NO EXCUSES, I'm gonna choose happiness..and I can't wait to show you what I've learned/created for this third album. It's my best work yet!” 

Meghan Trainor achieved fame in 2014 with her single All About That Bass, which appeared on her debut album, Title. She released her second album, Thank You, in 2016, and won a Grammy Award for Best New Artist the same year. — AFP-Relaxnews
