LOS ANGELES, Dec 4 — Not so good news for fans who have been looking forward to Gambit as according to reports, production for the spinoff movie has been delayed.

Omega Underground is reporting that filming has now been pushed back a month and will only start in March, with shooting expected to continue through to July or August in New Orleans.

The film will be directed by Gore Verbinski with Channing Tatum taking on the titular role along with Lizzy Caplan in the female lead. The movie follows Gambit, also known as Remy LeBeau, a mutant who has the power to charge objects with kinetic energy — with his most notable weapon being playing cards.
