LOS ANGELES, Aug 26 — Those adorable Angry Birds will be back on the big screen yet again as reports indicate a sequel is being planned.
The Angry Birds Movie, which opened earlier this year, received mixed reviews but fared well at the box office. It was based on Rovios’ top-selling mobile game Angry Birds and centred on a group of birds whose home is invaded by sinister green pigs bent on stealing their eggs.
The Wall Street Journal reported Rovio chief executive Kati Levoranta, as saying that the company has “started planning the sequel to The Angry Birds Movie” without revealing anything more.
The first film featured the voice talents of Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Bill Hader, and Peter Dinklage.
It’s unclear when production will start on the sequel, but we’re already super excited and can’t wait for another dose of Angry Birds!
