LOS ANGELES, Nov 12 — Gwen Stefani definitely made the right decision to end her 13-year marriage to rocker Gavin Rossdale after a shocking discovery that he was having an affair with the kids’ nanny — for over three years!
Rossdale and Australian nanny Mindy Mann had been sleeping together right under Stefani’s nose. Stefani reportedly discovered Rossdale’s affair (which went on even during her last pregnancy!) after seeing “explicit texts between Rossdale and the nanny — including nude photos of [the hired hand] and their plans to meet up for sex — on the family’s iPad”.
According to a source, “The iPad was linked to Gavin’s phone” and “one of the other nannies discovered the exchange and told Gwen”.
Stefani had recently admitted in an interview that her life “basically blew up” 24 hours after the Grammys in February, and according to Us Weekly, that’s because it was when she finally told Rossdale about her suspicions of his affair with Mindy.
So why didn’t Stefani call it quits back in February then after discovering those lewd messages? It seems that Rossdale had insisted the messages were nothing more than “flirtation” (even though some text messages allegedly including making plans for when and where they could meet for sex!) and with three kids, she decided to try and stick it out even though she reportedly “knew the truth in her heart,” according to a source.
HollywoodLife.com reports that “Gwen did not want this news about Gavin and the nanny to go public. She hates people feeling sorry for her. It’s a nightmare.
“She’s planning to keep her head down and focus on her kids and her work, just like Jennifer Garner did. She’s hoping she can put it in the past as quickly as possible because she wants people to forget about this and focus on her new album.”
“The Voice” coach had suspected something was not right when pictures of Rossdale emerged in 2012 with his hand on the nanny’s posterior during a hike. She also couldn’t help but notice that Mindy began dressing and acting just like her.
“If Gwen would eat something or do a workout or get a new handbag, Mindy would do the same thing,” a source tells US Weekly. “Gwen thought it was weird.” Mann also “began to post pictures on social media dressed in a similar way to Gwen”.
According to Radar Online, Mann is said to be “humiliated” about the whole situation. “She does feel horrible about the entire situation. You can’t help who you fall in love with,” a source revealed.
And as if all the revelations about his cheating weren’t bad enough, HollywoodLife.com is also reporting that Rossdale has warned Stefani to not flaunt her new romance with Blake Shelton.
“Gavin gave Gwen a hard time when ‘her people’ went public on her relationship with Blake,” a source reveals. “He told her not to flaunt her new romance for their kids’ sake. This is partly why she has been downplaying the whole relationship thing.”
“But really, Gavin has no right to shame her or make her feel bad,” the source continued. “She is a brilliant mother, and Gavin still knows exactly what buttons to press to make her feel guilty or insecure about her parenting skills. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!”
