WASHINGTON, July 26 — Kristen Bell surprised a young fan battling cancer with a voicemail as her popular character in Disney’s “Frozen”, in a video uploaded by the child’s parents.
The actress, who voiced Princess Anna in the animated movie, called six-year-old Avery Huffman from Washington to make her an honorary princess for her courage in battling cancer and undergoing chemotherapy, according to New York Daily News.
Huffman’s parents recorded her reaction as they played her the voicemail which started with, “This is Princess Anna of Arendelle. I just wanted to call and say hello,” as the little girl also replied with a “Hello” in the video.
“My sister Elsa says she's heard that you've been such a good girl, and that you've been so brave. She's decided to crown you as an honorary princess!”
According to the Daily News, her father Brandon Huffman said, “I'll admit, I've watched the video of her hearing from Anna/Kristen Bell, around 50 times, just to watch her face light up, and to hear her giggle and see her smile.”
According to her GoFundMe page created by her parents to help fund her medical costs, Huffman was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), a brain tumour found in the pons, part of the brainstem on the lower back of the brain, near the top of the spinal cord.
The girl’s doctors have deemed this tumour as incurable and fatal.
The video, which was posted two days ago, has gone viral, raking in over 1.5 million views at the time of writing.
