HOLLYWOOD, July 14 — Actor turned director then back to actor Mel Gibson has recently been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the International Film Festival in the Czech Republic.
Having made a name for himself in action movies, Mel has won a couple of Oscars, but the honour of receiving awards never gets old for the multi-talented star.
Having been through his share of controversy after his acclaimed movie ‘The Passion Of The Christ’ in 2004, not to mention his exile from Hollywood after insulting the Jewish religion, Gibson has had to change his ways in recent years.

Now, it looks like he’s folded up his director’s chair and returned to the front of the camera, to star next to other aging action heroes like Sylvester Stallone, Harrison Ford and Arnold Schwarzenegger in ‘Expendables 3’.
Aside from ‘Expendables 3’, Mel will be leading the action thriller ‘Blood Father’ in 2015, which centres around an ex-con who reunites with his estranged teen daughter in order to protect her from drug dealers. — Cover Media
