KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 10 — Malaysia Airport Holdings Bhd’s (MAHB) multi-million dollar airfield ground lighting control and monitoring system project with US-based software solutions provider, Honeywell, will be done in phases within two years.

MAHB Managing Director, Datuk Baldisham Ghazali, said obviously, there would be more to do in safety, capacity and efficiency of Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s (KLIA) airside operations.

“As for now, we have done a few. We started with critical ones and will continue throughout one-and-a-half years,” told reporters after the Malaysian Investor Relations Association Annual Awards 2017 here today.

Also present were Bursa Malaysia Bhd Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Datuk Seri Tajuddin Atan and Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) Deputy Chief Executive, Datuk Ahmad Fairuz Zainol Abidin.

Baldisham won the award for ‘Malaysian Investor Relations Awards’ Best CEO for the mid-capitalisation category.

On MAHB’s budget wishlist, he said, the government should look into the infrastructure upgrading of airports.

“We need to upgrade our airports as the international passenger traffic volume is on the rise year-on-year.
