KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 11 — LAZADA’s The Online Revolution — a concept based on Cyber Monday which is the biggest online shopping day in the US which takes place on the first Monday after Thanksgiving — kicks off today.

LAZADA, the largest online shopping mall in Southeast Asia, has operations in Malaysia (www.lazada.com.my), Thailand, Vietnam. Indonesia and the Philippines.

The Online Revolution is set to be the biggest online event of the year with other major e-commerce players like ZALORA, Foodpanda participating while Yahoo! has been enlisted as the exclusive media partner.

“Our 12-12-12 campaign last year was such a great hit with our shoppers we decided to make a tradition and a movement out of it.” said Igor Pezzilli, the CEO of LAZADA Malaysia.

“This year we have expanded the concept as well as our group of partners and thought of ways to excite shoppers. Our vision is to strengthen the e-commerce ecosystem, and what better way than to come together with the biggest players in the market and celebrate the revolution together.

“In short, The Online Revolution is set to change the old ways of shopping and bringing about the superior means of shopping which is online shopping, a one stop solution.”
