‘Superman’ motorcyclist slapped with three-day jail, fine

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 7 — A 'superman' motorcyclist was brought down to earth today with a three-day jail term and a RM5,000 fine for riding at speed and doing a stunt last month.

Magistrate Noorul Fhaiez Mohd Nayan passed the sentence on Muhammad Qiddran Syahmie Zainal, 19, and ordered that he be jailed for three months if he could not pay the fine.

He also ordered that the teenager be made ineligible to obtain a motorcycle riding licence for two years.

Muhammad Qiddran, a cashier at a convenience store, had committed the offence on the Duta-Ulu Kelang (DUKE) Expressway here between 2.30am and 2.40am on Aug 7. — Bernama
