KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 10 — Asia TV has wrapped up its investigation into the alleged bullying by Miss Asia Pageant Malaysia winner Luwe Xin Hui and found no substantial evidence to prove her behavior constituted bullying.

In a statement, the broadcaster said parties involved in the matter can proceed with legal actions if they wish to do so.

They stated that investigations confirmed that the 23-year-old Melaka native had action taken against her by her secondary school for disciplinary violations and Luwe had also reached a settlement with the alleged victims.

As for claims made on social media accusing Luwe of being a bully, two victims named in the social media post declined to come forward nor willing to provide more information.

“Hence, Asia TV could not further verify the claims made on social media," it said, adding that they would ignore allegations that are unproven.

“She paid the price for her actions at that time and the organisers do not believe her past actions are enough to label her a bully,” they added, stressing that there was no sufficient evidence to date to prove her past misdeeds.

Asia TV however issued a warning to Luwe and hope she would reflect on her past mistakes.

In a related development, Luwe once again apologised for her past actions.

In a statement posted on her Instagram story, Luwe said she would re-examine herself and further improve besides offering herself to help promote anti-bullying activities.

It was previously reported that Luwe was called out as a bully by her alleged victims a day after being crowned.

She was also accused of paying a third party to complete her university assignments.

Luwe beat 14 other contestants to win the crown and will be representing Malaysia in the finals at Shanghai, China end of this year.
