NEW YORK, July 29 — Have you ever wondered what would happen when you mixe Alka-Seltzer (you know those effervescent tablets) with water in space?
Well, the astronauts on the International Space Station can help with that answer after they dissolved an Alka-Seltzer in a floating ball of water and recorded it with a RED 4K camera, which can record at four times the resolution of normal cameras.
The resulting footage of the tablet dissolving and creating a small air-filled bubble of water spinning around freely is a kind of mesmerising display of fluid dynamics.
