LOS ANGELES, Nov 30 — Eminem’s highly anticipated album finally has a release date: Revival will be out on December 15, as revealed by Dr Dre on Instagram.

The album has been the subject of a clever marketing campaign using fake pharmaceutical advertisements for a drug called Revival, and Dre’s reveal keeps the campaign going. In an Instagram post, he shared an image of another fake ad, this one a video that includes the release date, and he captioned it: “Use as prescribed by your doctor.”

Buzz about Revival has been building over the past few months, spurred on by the campaign and by Eminem’s recent award show appearances as well as a performance on Saturday Night Live. Earlier this month, the rapper revealed the first single off Revival, a ballad called Walk on Water that features Beyoncé.

Revival will be Eminem’s first album since 2013’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2 and is seen as the third in a series, following on from 2009’s Relapse and 2010’s Recovery. — AFP-Relaxnews
