LONDON, March 9 — The longlist for the Bailey’s Women’s Prize for Fiction 2017 has been revealed.
It features established authors such as Margaret Atwood and Annie Proulx, as well as first-time authors such as Emma Flint and Fiona Melrose.
A shortlist of six novels will be selected from the pool, before the winner is announced on June 7.
The prestigious annual prize is awarded to a female author every year, for a novel written in English and published in the UK.
The longlisted novels for 2107 are:
