KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 — Share prices on Bursa Malaysia were lower at mid-afternoon today with selling activities spotted in most heavyweights.
At 3.05 pm, the FBM KLCI was 0.40 of-a-point, or 0.025 per cent, higher at 1,626.51. It opened 5.19 points easier at 1,620.92.
Among heavyweights, Maybank gained five sen to RM8.05, IHH Healthcare added three sen to RM6.42, TNB declined six sen to RM13.96, Public Bank eased two sen to RM19.16 and Petronas Chemiclas fell five sen to RM6.43.
The top losers included British American Tobacco (-84 sen to RM50.36), Petronas Gas (-18 sen to RM21.38), Malaysian Pacific Industries (-14 sen to RM7.26) and Berjaya Food (-13 sen to RM1.67).
As for the actives, LKL International rose 1.5 sen to 32.5 sen, Trive Property inched up half-a-sen to 10 sen, Sanichi Technology was flat at 14 sen and China Automobile Parts edged down half-a-sen to 3.5 sen.
On a broader market, losers outpaced gainers by 390 to 251 while 342 counters remained unchanged, 723 untraded and 15 others suspended.
Turnover stood at 977.98 million shares worth RM765.91 million.
The FBM Emas Index fell by 5.56 points to 11,392.58, FBMT 100 Index was
down 4.65 points to 11,091.16 and the FBM 70 Index eased 31.69 points to 12,943.32.
The FBM Emas Shariah Index shed 6.52 points to 11,959.42. The FBM Ace gained 37.17 points to 5,388.12.
On a sectoral basis, the Finance Index increased 16.81 points to 14,059.21, Plantation Index advanced 11.71 points to 7,558.36 and the Industrial Index was 11.23 points lower at 3,054.57. — Bernama
