KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 16 — Online fashion retailer Zalora will keep its price competitive despite the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) in April.
“Zalora will do what it always does; it will do its utmost best to offer value for money fashion items to men and women in Malaysia,” Zalora Malaysia managing director for buying and marketing Giulio Xiloyannis said in a statement today.
“We will always price our products competitively. If this means absorbing GST on some of our products we will do it.”
Zalora would always strive to be the most fashionable and better priced in the market, he said, adding that the GST would not change its mission statement.
Zalora is Asia’s leading online fashion and fastest-growing fashion-focused e-commerce site in Southeast Asia.
Founded in early 2012, the company is present in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Hong Kong. It offers over 500 top international and local brands and designers. — Bernama
