PETALING JAYA, May 30 — Police have launched a manhunt for a suspect who stabbed five people, including a father and his son, following a violent confrontation in Sepang this morning.

Sepang police chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Aziz Ali said the 35-year-old suspect had complained to his wife about their neighbours who were noisy late into the night for the past five years in Kampung Jenderam Hulu, Dengkil.

“The suspect had also confronted his neighbour’s son whose friends were loitering around their house but it fell on deaf ears,” Abdul Aziz said today.

He said the suspect felt challenged by the youths’ behaviour when they revved their motorcycle engines in the middle of the night around 12.48am.

“The suspect lost his patience and grabbed a knife from his house to confront the victims. Argument ensued and escalated into a violent brawl,” he added.

The suspect fled the scene after stabbing the five victims aged between 15 and 48, including the neighbour, his son, and the son’s three friends.

Abdul Aziz said all of the victims were sent to Serdang Hospital with the help of ambulances and other neighbours.
