KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 13 — Malaysians are more likely to spend their Chinese New Year break at local destinations than travel abroad, a study by an online booking site showed.
Agoda, according to The Star, ranked Kuala Lumpur, Melaka and Penang as the top three spots since 2016.
Langkawi was also tops for beaches and Cameron Highlands for the cool air.
Among the top 10 destinations cited in the study, Thailand’s Bangkok and Haadyai were the only two destinations in the list securing the fourth and fifth place respectively.
The study cited Ipoh and Johor Baru as other go-to destinations while Kota Kinabalu and Kuantan were no more in the top 10 destinations as it was earlier in 2016 and 2017.
