George Town Festival (GTF) will return for its ninth consecutive year from August 4 until September 2.
As always, arts and culture fans can look forward to an almost-month long programme of free and ticketed shows, both international and local.
GTF’s curation and management will be helmed by Joe Sidek Productions Sdn. Bhd.
This weekend, Penang will play host to a ‘Proposal Clinic’ designed “to encourage local creative individuals or groups to meet with us to help finesse their artistic ideas and to help them submit a proposal for the festival,” says Joe Sidek.
To date, two proposal clinics have been held in Penang, and one two-day clinic in Kuala Lumpur.
These are in addition to the open call for submission of programme proposals that is currently being conducted online.
