MARAN, Sept 18 — The success of T-Team in entering the Malaysia Cup semi-finals has been attributed to the perseverance of the players and strong support of their fans.

In the second-leg quarter-finals at the Tun Abdul Razak Stadium here last night, the visitors defeated Felda United 1-0 to qualify on a 2-1 aggregate after the two teams drew 1-1 in the first leg.

“All players worked hard in the field while fans came from afar to give moral support to the team,” T-Team chief coach Rachmat Darmawan said when met by reporters after the match.

The solitary goal of the match was scored by their import striker Dilshod Sharofetdinov.

In the semi-finals, T-Team were expected to meet defending champions Selangor, which beat PKNS FC 1-0 at Shah Alam Stadium last night.

Felda United coach Irfan Bakti Abu Salim said he was disappointed with the team for losing on home turf. — Bernama
