KUALA LUMPUR, June 16 — Malaysia’s pop princess Shila Amzah is kicking off her My Journey Tour 2017 in her home country on August 26, 2017 at Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands.
The tour is in support of her sixth studio album and debut Chinese-language studio album of the same name, My Journey.
The album was released in April 2016 featuring top charting hits like See You or Never, Goodbye and Selamanya Cinta.
This will be Shila’s second full-fledged solo concert in Malaysia after Shila Amzah Love Live in Malaysia concert in 2014.
Shila Amzah gained national recognition via her 2011 single Patah Seribu which won her Pop Song of the Year and Song of The Year at the 19th Malaysian Music Awards.
The 26-year-old started to achieve immense popularity in China after emerging as the winner of hit Chinese reality singing talent show, Asian Wave.
Her success in the China market earned her the Kembara Award (International Music Breakthrough Award) at the Malaysian Music Awards, making her the youngest honoree.
After that, Shila continued her career in the Mandopop industry by breaking out to Hong Kong in 2015 where she released singles, conducted an international press conference and established her second record label and global management company, Shilala (HK) Limited.
Her success on international stages has gained her honorific titles such as Asia’s Sweetheart, Princess of Music, and National Treasure of Malaysia.
