LOS ANGELES, May 3 — Chilling thriller “The Prey” is to be adapted from its French original by Jon Croker, known for his work on horror films “The Woman in Black” and its upcoming 2015 sequel.
“The Prey” [“La Proie”] follows a convicted bank robber on the run, pursued by a determined young police officer, and on the trail of his daughter, who is held hostage by another dangerous criminal.
As for Croker, he has previously contributed to “Fast Girls,” “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” and “The Iron Lady.”
Gothic horror “The Woman in Black” had “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe in its leading role, and sequel “The Woman in Black: Angel of Death” takes place in the same haunted house, but 40 years later during the turmoil of World War II evacuations. Jeremy Irvine of Steven Spielberg’s “War Horse” stars.
DreamWorks is developing the “Prey” remake, with Charles S. Cohen of fugitive road trip drama “Just Like a Woman” in a production role and Croker’s involvement the most recent addition, according to The Hollywood Reporter. — AFP-Relaxnews
