KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 3 — Book lovers continued to throng BookFest@Malaysia 2014 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) as it ended today.

Apart from offering discounts of up to 80 per cent, it also offered an assortment of book collection from countries such as Hong Kong, Canada, Singapure, Taiwan and China.

A book seller from a local book publishing company, Falcon Tan, 22, said most of the visitors preferred to buy academic books.

“Our booth received many visitors since the fest began last July 26 and as we sell academic books, many parents and school teachers came to purchase all sorts of academic books for their children’s studies,” he said.

Development in various fields and interest in collecting comic books mostly published by Asian countries also captured attention.

Comic enthusiast Nur Fazli Afandi Mohd Suhaid, 22, took the opportunity to buy the latest comics collection, especially local comics, due to the attractive discounts.

Many visitors crowded the exhibition hall to get the books they wanted at discounted prices. — Bernama
