KUALA LUMPUR, July 24 — Share prices on Bursa Malaysia ended the morning session mixed today amid the positive sentiment on regional bourses, dealer said.

At 12.30pm, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) was 0.47 of a point better at 1,872.3, after hovering between 1,867.78 and 1,873.66 during the trading session.          

On the scoreboard, the Finance Index fell 48.74 points to 17,343.06 and the Plantation Index shed 2.8 points to 9,024.2.But the Industrial Index earned 8.59 points for 3,239.66.       

The FBM Emas Index advanced 4.61 points to 13,078.46, the FBMT100 Index improved 3.96 points to 12,656.29, the FBM Ace increased 7.64 points to 7,062.39 and the FBM 70 was 7.57 points better at 14,377.81.            

Losers led gainers 397 to 347 with 326 counters unchanged, while 565 were untraded and 13 others suspended.              

Turnover stood at 956.77 million shares worth RM792.08 billion.

Among actives, MAS was flat at 22.5 sen, Mulpha International went up three sen to 53 sen, Berjaya Corp rose one sen to 50.5 sen and Keladi Maju gained 3.5 sen to 41 sen.

Of the heavyweights, Maybank and Public Bank dipped two sen each to RM9.89 and RM19.96 respectively, Axiata lost three sen for RM6.86, while TNB was flat at RM12.42 . — Bernama
