BUTTERWORTH, Aug 3 — On the pretext of asking for directions, four youths attacked a businessman and robbed him of cash and valuables early today, before abducting his China Doll girlfriend to a secluded spot where she was gang-raped.
The 46-year-old businessman and his girlfriend, aged 23, were chatting in his Hyundai Elantra car which was parked near the Penang Bridge when the youths arrived in two motorcycles at the scene.
They asked the man for directions to a certain destination. However, before the businessman realised what was happening, he was attacked by the youths.
Three of the assailants dragged the China Doll into the car and left the scene, leaving their accomplice to watch over the businessman in the incident about 3.30am.
When contacted by Bernama, Penang CID deputy chief ACP Nasir Salleh said: “The trio arrived at a secluded spot in Sungai Dua where they took turns to rape the foreign woman.
“Several hours later, the woman was left at a nearby petrol station. The Hyundai Elantra was found abandoned in Sungai Puyu, Butterworth.
“The woman later sought treatment at a hospital before a report was lodged at the Mak Mandin police station,” he said.
Nasir said the businessman, in his police report, said he was robbed of a wallet, handphone, RM1,000 and valuables.
He said the four suspects were believed to be in their 30’s and 40’s. — Bernama
