SINGAPORE, June 29 — Universal Studios Singapore has been named the top amusement park in Asia by TripAdvisor for the third year in a row, ranking ahead of Disneyland and Ocean Park in Hong Kong.
The travel site today announced the winners of its Travellers’ Choice awards for amusement parks and water parks around the world, with Universal’s Islands of Adventure in Florida earning top honours worldwide. Award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of travellers’ reviews and ratings gathered over a 12-month period.
The top-25 amusement parks in Asia included Tokyo DisneySea (No. 4), Universal Studios Japan (No. 5) and Legoland Malaysia in Johor (No. 11).
“We are honoured that Universal Studios Singapore is awarded top amusement park in Asia for three years in a row,” said Jason Horkin, Senior Vice President of Attractions at Resorts World Sentosa.
