DEARBORN (Michigan) , Feb 10 — The Blue Oval is using one of the world’s biggest networking and communication events to unveil a new model specifically for Europe.
Ford president and CEO Mark Fields announced yesterday that as well as giving this year’s keynote address, when the Mobile World Congress (MWC) gets underway in Barcelona on February 22, he will also be presenting a new car and new in-car technology.
Just like CES in Las Vegas in recent years, the MWC has increasingly become an event for automotive firms as technology and cars continue to converge.
This year’s event will mark Ford’s fifth consecutive appearance and Fields’ address is expected to focus as much on mobility, connectivity, consumer engagement and big data as it is on autonomous driving technology. — AFP-Relaxnews
