SINGAPORE, Feb 15 — Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong released a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) at 6pm today (February 15) on his prostate cancer diagnosis, and had since thanked well-wishers on his Facebook page. He also said he is “all set” to for his surgery tomorrow, in which he will be removing his prostate gland. His operation will be carried out by Singapore General Hospital’s lead urologist Christopher Cheng.

Thank you all for your concern, good wishes and encouraging words! I have already received so many emails, SMSs, and messages through friends and contacts wishing me well. I’m all set for my op tomorrow, and so are my surgeon and medical team.
